Scholarships

Dear Scholarship Applicant:

 

NOQHA is proud to offer a strong scholarship program to its members who are pursuing a degree(s) in higher education.   The rules governing the NOQHA Scholarship Program are set forth in the NOQHA Official Handbook of Rules and Regulations. Please pay attention to the membership criteria, which requires membership in NOQHA/NOQHYA for the three consecutive years immediately prior to the year of application, plus the year of application. Therefore, all applicants must have been a member in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.  Before completing your scholarship application, please carefully review these rules to ensure that you meet all eligibility requirements.

 

In addition to its regular academic scholarships, NOQHA gives out one annual service award. This award will be given based upon extraordinary contributions to NOQHA and/or NOQHYA. To be considered for this award, applicants shall submit an essay of 500 words or less describing their contributions to the organization. The essay is in addition to the NOQHA Scholarship Application Form and the required three letters of recommendation. This award must be used as a scholarship and the applicant must meet all NOQHA scholarship eligibility criteria except that of possessing a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.

ALL application materials must be received by the committee chairperson no later than 11:59 pm on May 31, 2024.  Each applicant is solely responsible for submitting a timely, complete application.

 

You may send application materials via email.  The materials submitted via e-mail, the scholarship chair will send confirmation of receipt. If you prefer to use the regular mail or Fed Express, please provide proof of deadline compliance should there be a delay, or your materials are lost.  Follow-up phone calls or emails to verify application receipt are also highly recommended.
